SENIOR MERCHANDISING EXECUTIVE

The Job :

  • Coordinate daily merchandising activities in areas of new product development and supplier source;
  • Provide support and merchandising information to the sales and marketing teams;
  • Work with factories to process and follow up orders;
  • Compare prices from suppliers;
  • Evaluate quality of products from suppliers;
  • Select and negotiate with vendors;
  • Explore with new/potential vendors for new and existing products;
  • Work with in-house Product and Graphic Designer for product development;
  • Research on coming Market trends & innovative items;
  • Conduct quality control; and
  • Arrange product delivery;
  • Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned. 

The Person :

  • Degree holder in Business Studies or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in merchandising and preferably in gifts and premiums items or toys plush
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, should be able to communicate in Mandarin
  • Good communication skills, mature and tactful in negotiation
  • Strong market sense; sensitive to marketing trends and changes in customer needs
  • Organized, proactive and be able to work under pressure
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Chinese word processing
  • Familiar with the USA and EU testing standard
  • Travel to China is required if necessary
